STORIES FROM TUSCANY
Two tales from Tuscan culture
——-
In all puppet theatre companies, there cannot be a lack of a production that tells the stories of their own land. In our case, Tuscany, precisely.
The fairy tales chosen are those that have awakened our memories as children and that have entertained us the most as adults. They are 2 original fairy tales set in the Tuscan countryside and are introduced by two characters, also well-connected to the Tuscan storytelling tradition: Gianni Stento (from whom the character Stenterello, of the commedia dell’arte, will be taken) and the great-grandson of Pinocchio’s Cricket.
The fairy tales are: The Skinny Hen, whose feathered protagonist turns out to be more cunning than a fox; and Buchettino and the Ogre, the story of a little boy so smart and intelligent that he deceives none other than an Ogre.
