The well-known story of the Magic Flute, probably taken from a traditional Austrian fairytale that inspired the author E.J.Schikaneder to write the booklet, has been revisited with respect and attention, keeping the basic canvas intact (enhancing the comic vis) and harmonizing it with the needs of a modern puppet theater, not to break the proverbial magic that unleashes this extraordinary work.
The immortal music of Mozart plays naturally the preponderant role; of the whole work a careful choice was made, trying to keep intact the evocative force of each narrative episode, as the most well-known themes remained intact.
If the German for the song is due to the fact that the Magic Flute is the only lyric opera by Mozart sung in this language, the choice to create a narrative thread in Italian, enthrall the viewers and allows the understanding of the use of the voice in lyrical works, like a real musical instrument.
In this way the show can be appreciated by the audience of all ages.
